About

SHD Cedar Valley Waterloo Honor Flight

SHD Honor Flight is a non-profit organization dedicated to sending local World War II, Korean and Viet Nam war veterans to Washington D.C. to visit various historical sites and war memorials. We proudly serve Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, North Tama, and Grundy counties.

WWII and Korean war veterans from surrounding areas are welcomed if they are able to fly out of Waterloo Regional Airport(alo). At this time, we are only accepting Viet Nam veterans from the five counties listed above.

SHD Honor Flight will be sending out 3 flights in 2017!  The flights are scheduled for May 9th, September 12th and October 10th.

Veterans and guardians for our flights are selected based on receipt of application. Applications can be printed from our Documents page. All applications should be mailed to the P.O.Box found at the bottom of the form. Guardians are responsible for an airfare fee. Veterans fly for free.
